Accessing Data

KOSSDA holds in its collection a vast range of Korean quantitative and qualitative data and literature across diverse social science disciplines encompassing political, economic, social, and cultural areas. Users may search the data and literature archive by category, subject areas and thesaurus, and download data files.

Quantitative Data

The quantitative data collection includes survey data and aggregated statistical data. All users can search, view, and download study descriptions, questionnaires, codebooks, and other related files. To download data files and access to the online statistical analysis tool(NESSTAR), however, KOSSDA membership is required.

Qualitative Data

The qualitative datasets are available in a range of formats including text, audio, visual, image formats. Search of study descriptions and related files is free. However, KOSSDA membership is required to explore data files using [Preview] as well as to download files.

Literature

Access to literature holdings is available for both electronic and print materials. For electronic files, users may search and view study descriptions and full texts on the KOSSDA website. Print materials are accessible for reading at the KOSSDA library as well as for xerox by the user's request(DDS). Users must acquire a membership in order to use DDS.
